FALLBROOK ART ASSOCIATION FEBRUARY MEETING AND DEMONSTRATION

Mission Rd, Fallbrook   FALLBROOK ART ASSOCIATION FEBRUARY MEETING AND DEMONSTRATION   The next general meeting of the Fallbrook Art Association will be held on Monday, February 13 th at 6:45 p.m. at the Fallbrook Public Utilities Department Building, 990 E. Mission Rd. Helen Shafer-Garcia will be the guest artist. She will be demonstrating watercolr techniques. There will be an informal critique session starting at 5:30 p.m. Attendees may bring a work that is in progress in any media, and will receive suggestions for improving their work from Helen. The public is welcome to attend the meeting and demonstration.   There will be a workshop by Helen Shafer-Garcia on Sunday, February 26th, also at the Fallbrook Public Utilities Department.  The cost for the workshop is $30 for members of the Fallbrook Art Association and $40 for non-members. Please call 951-698-7990 for information or to register for the workshop. Helen Shafer Garcia is a painter, mixed media, book arts artist and award winning illustrator. Her whimsical style shows a love for living creatively with a studio filled to the brim with found objects!  Helen creates textured books, mixed media monotypes, assemblages, and colorful iconographic and whimsical paintings on paper or on curious recycled found object surfaces. For over 22 years, Helen’s watercolor illustrations have graced the cover brochures, garden articles and advertisements of numerous International resorts and magazines.
