Honorary Mayor 2016-2017
Owner of The Hair Lounge
Representing the Fallbrook Senior Citizens Service Club
The Honorary Mayor’s position is decided by who raises and turns in the most money. That candidate will be “elected”. A generous 20% of the money earned by each candidate will go back to their sponsoring organization.
Candidates for the Honorary Mayor must be twenty-one years or older, and a member of a non-profit organization that is a Chamber member in good standing. If a Chamber member non-profit is not a member-based organization, the selected nominee must be a Chamber member in good standing. Employed staff members of Chamber member non-profits are also eligible to run for Honorary Mayor.
Candidates compete for the office of Honorary Mayor by raising money through legal and creative fundraising activities and donations. Events such as bowling tournaments, happy hour events, rummage sales, treasure hunts, etc. prove to be among the most lucrative and fun events for the campaign.
Election results are announced at the September State of the Chamber Dinner.
