Licenses & Permits
Business certificates (licenses) are not required for businesses in the unincorporated portions of the County of San Diego (Fallbrook & Bonsall). The Board of Supervisors deleted this requirement in August 1998.

Solicitors' licenses (door to door) are required in Fallbrook, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department, which is the contracted law enforcement for Fallbrook (unincorporated).

Fictitious Business Names
Any person who regularly transacts business for profit, UNDER A FICTITIOUS NAME, in the County of San Diego is required to file a Fictitious Business Name Statement with the Recorder/County Clerk, within 40 days of first transacting business. Go to https://arcc.sdcounty.ca.gov/Pages/fbn-info.aspx

Fallbrook businesses are required to comly with San Diego County zoning ordinances and regulations. This includes getting sign permits and complying with sign ordinances specific to Fallbrook.

Fallbrook Design Review Board
The Fallbrook Design Review Board is a committee of the Fallbrook Community Planning Group. It is comprised of six members of the Planning Group and five appointed members of the Community. The DR Committee, as well as the Fallbrook Planning Group, is administered by the San Diego Board of Supervisors Policy 1 and I-1A. Meetings are subject to the Brown Act and all agencies are published and posted, and the meetings are open to the public.
